Christmas starts in Glasthule & Sandycove this evening at 4.30
The Christmas tree lighting parade will gather today at the Butlers Pantry at 4.30pm for departure at 4.45 pm to Glasthule for the tree lighting at 5pm.
The Butlers Pantry are very kindly providing mulled wine, Christmas cake, spiced apple as well as lots of other tasty morsels while the children gather for the parade. We will also be distributing balloons and treats.
Led by Peter Caviston and the vintage Rolls Royce, the parade will arrive at Glasthule car park at 5pm for the tree lighting. The Brook Singers will provide the entertainment and Carluccios are very kindly providing hot chocolate for all. If any other traders would like to supply goodies/treats to the gathering, please feel free to do so. Just remember no nuts in any of the food!
This year we have a little boy from Harold School in Glasthule who along with his sister, Freya, will switch on the tree lights.
All are welcome to join in the festivities
