Matchless Light-Emitting Diodes Phototherapy Equipment: the Most Powerful Light-Therapy Equipment - Antyage

Medical Device – EC certified* with a variety of different LED colours we are able to treat a wider range of skin conditions.

- Unique Technology: Cutting-edge RGB LEDS
- Incredible Power: 319mW/cm²
- The Widest Range of Wavelengths: from 400nm up to 850nm

LED treatments came from research on NASA astronauts. NASA had started using lights from LEDs to help plants grow in space and then wondered if it might aid cell renewal in astronauts too (they wanted to help preserve bone and muscle mass and trigger wounds to heal faster). Trials found that as well as doing this, it raised levels of collagen and elastin in the skin.
An LED treatment is painless, the wands are simply held over the skin and the light naturally passes into the skin just like sunlight- all the UV has been screened out. Vitamin C serums are applied to the skin that help the light penetrate and in a beauty-based example of symbiosis the light also helps these serums penetrate deeper too. You will see some benefits straight away from an LED treatment but we generally recommend five or six in a row.

The LED treatment system may assist with the following conditions:

Blue light – 415nm
Acne
Treatment of mild to moderate acne reduces the need for antibiotics and topical creams with their associated side effects. This treatment regime helps to reduce the bacteria count and inflammation associated with acne and therefore reduces the number of acne lesions when used in conjunction with our acne skin care range.

Treatments are recommended twice a week for 4 weeks, followed by once a week for 8 weeks.

Red light – 635nm

•           Wound healing
•           Scars
•           Rosacea
•           Burns
•           Rejuvenation
•           Wound healing, scars and burns would require treatment twice a week for 4 weeks.

Conditions such as Rosacea may require maintenance treatment after the initial treatment regime.

Infrared light – 830nm

  • ·        General skin rejuvenation, reducing deeper fine lines and wrinkles
  • ·        Skin tightening
  • ·        Acne Scarring
  • ·        Accelerates wound healing, post laser and post-surgery
  • ·        Reduction of pain, bruising, swelling and inflammation
  • ·        Reduction of post-inflammatory pigmentation
  • ·        Prophylaxis against scar formation
  • ·        Relief of muscle and joint pain
  • ·        Rejuvenation treatments can be done from 1 to 2 weeks apart and the more treatments that are performed, the better the results.

LED Light therapy for skin rejuvenation.

LED Light Therapy is based on important research by NASA showing that certain frequencies of light significantly increase new tissue growth, stimulate collagen production and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

This breakthrough technology does not use heat or any kind of “invasive” process, but triggers the body to convert light energy into cell energy without thermal heat. LED light therapy is non-invasive, causes no inflammation, and requires no special post-treatment procedures.

It is proving to be an effective treatment for aging skin as well as particular conditions such as Rosacea and other skin conditions. Benefits of Red LED Light Therapy include: Reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, reduction of age spots and sun damage, increase in collagen, reduction of overall redness, flushing and dilated capillaries. Results are often immediate.To read more on Antyage LED Light therapy see link below;

LED Phototherapy for Skin-healing & rejuvenation.

LED Phototherapy is a safe, pain-free way for getting naturally vibrant, clearer skin. The procedure uses LEDs to expose your skin to specific types of light to stimulate natural responses in the skin making it a leading, non-invasive treatment for skin-rejuvenation and problem skin conditions such as flushed and spot prone skin. The procedure is safe, painless and doesn’t even require any downtime due to recovery.
Red-light therapy works using a similar method, but the red light is used for the purpose of speeding the process of skin recovery.
A combination of lights both attack bacteria contributing to the acne, and promote healing in the skin.
Both red and blue lights penetrate deep into the skin without causing harm to the dermis. People who suffer with acne can greatly benefit from a combination therapy of both red and blue light.

Light Therapy is a Safe and Effective Skin Care Treatment
The healing quality of light has been understood for centuries. The power of red LED light energy activates the body's own natural rejuvenation processes to counteract the signs of aging by activating local cellular metabolism, promoting circulation and stimulating the skin's fibroblasts which leads to a natural increase in collagen and elastin production. Many studies have shown that the cellular and metabolic effects of Facial Light Therapy can improve skin tone & texture, help to refine fine lines and wrinkles, reduce redness and inflammation and promote brighter, smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
Red Light Therapy is a very gentle, non-invasive procedure, that only treats the needed areas while leaving the surrounding tissues unharmed. Treatment can be performed at home and does not result in downtime whereas more invasive procedures such as IPL or laser resurfacing do. These approaches to skin renewal rely on high-powered coherent light to create heat energy which can result in thermal injury to tissues. LED's signal the body to naturally convert light energy into cell energy without causing undue damage or discomfort.
Specific wavelengths stimulate specific responses in the body. Red wavelengths and certain infrared (non-visible) wavelengths increase cellular activity at the dermal level by targeting underlying hemoglobin. Cellular activity and energy levels fall as we age. With the delivery of the correct wavelengths of LED light, these dermal cells receive a rejuvenating, anti-aging boost from the light energy.
Red light therapy is safe for all skin types and ages, there is no down time or recovery time and it is quickly becoming known in the cosmetic industry as one of the most effective and non-invasive ways to help rejuvenate and repair the skin.

LED Light Therapy.

Harness the power of L.E.D. and let your skin shine! Suited to most  skin types, light emitting diodes help to correct ageing and damage, reduce skin inflammation, and treat acne and breakouts.

LED (Light-Emitting Diode) lights were essentially used only for bedside alarm clocks and camera battery alert lights when they were first mass-produced in the 60s, because a combination of low energy and the fact that they could only emit red, green, or yellow light restricted their usability.

Study - Combination blue (415 nm) and red (633 nm) LED phototherapy in the treatment of mild to severe acne vulgaris.

NASA noticed an increase in plant growth under a certain wavelength of light. They think: if plants, why not skin? NASA began experimenting with LEDs to speed the healing of wounds, because in zero-gravity situations wounds don’t quite heal as fast as they would otherwise. Test results were positive, and research developed into skin cancer treatment and cosmetic arenas. Most commonly, LED lights used in skincare are infrared, amber, red, and blue. Amber purportedly builds new collagen and elastin, red reduces inflammation and promotes circulation, blue destroys acne-causing bacteria, and infrared accelerates skin recovery. The lights are often combined to create an all-in-one experience, but they can also be used exclusively to target certain concerns. LEDs send these light waves deep into the skin, and in the same way plants use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into plant tissue, LEDs can trigger natural intracellular reactions. Meaning your skin responds to the wavelengths—particularly red, in this case—by building, strengthening, and maximizing cellular structure. Red light is also believed to target oil glands to reduce cytokines, which cause inflammation and play a role in chronic acne. In the case of blue light, specific wavelengths stimulate production of oxygen radicals that kill P. Acnes bacteria, all without damaging skin. This is the main attraction for LED treatments: the light doesn’t heat the skin, like Laser or tanning beds, so there is no thermal damage. There is no external damage of any kind, the light does its work on your skin completely painlessly. LED light builds collagen and corrects surface damage like sun damage, wrinkles, and large pores.

LED Phototherapy

Every skin type can benefit from LED Phototherapy. It helps to reverse the signs of ageing, clears acne and blemishes and accelerates healing. LED helps damaged, injured or diseased skin cells return to health.

LED and skin ageing;

Collagen is a major component of connective tissue and is the most common protein found in the body. Collagen is the essential protein for wound healing and is used to repair and replace damaged tissue. It is the substance that holds cells together and has a high degree of elasticity. By increasing collagen production, less scar tissue will be formed at the injured site. Collagen, elastin and reticulin fibres are produced by cells called fibroblasts.During an LED Phototherapy session, wavelengths of Red and Near Infra-Red light are absorbed by the fibroblast cells stimulating the energy producing mitochondria. This in turn stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and growth factors, which increases skin thickness, reduces lines and wrinkles and improves scar tissue. The increased elastin levels produced improve skin elasticity and the increase in reticulin fibres gives greater support structure within the dermis.

After a series of LED treatments, fibroblasts can continue to produce new collagen for several months. LED can suppress collagenase, a collagen degrading enzyme that can accelerate the skins ageing process.

Antyage LED helps to reduce the appearance of ageing skin.

Whether you’re concerned about skin lines, eye wrinkles, fine lines, face wrinkles or age spots on your hands LED Light Therapy offers a complete wrinkle treatment to reverse the tell tale signs of ageing of the skin. After your LED treatment the results will become visible over a few weeks as the light stimulates the body’s natural processes.  With regular LED Phototherapy treatment, your skin will glow, look healthier and fresher/younger looking.LED uses no chemicals or thermal heat, making it a safe treatment for Ageing Skin.LED rejuvenates skin on the inside meaning smoother, youthful looking skin on the outside.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes facial redness, acne-like pimples, visible small blood vessels on the face, swelling and/or watery, irritated eyes. This inflammation of the face can affect the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead or eyelids. It is not contagious, but there is some evidence to suggest that it is inherited. There is no known cause or cure for rosacea.

Rosacea generally begins after age 30 and goes through cycles of flare-ups and remissions. Over time, it gets ruddier in colour and small blood vessels (like spider veins) may appear on the face. If left untreated, bumps and pimples may form, the end of the nose may become swollen, red and bulbous and eyes may water or become irritated.

Rosacea occurs most often among people with fair skin who tend to blush or flush easily. It occurs more often among women than men, but men tend to suffer from more severe symptoms.

Most Clients  experience multiple symptoms at varying levels of severity.

Common symptoms include:
•flushing
•persistently red skin on the face
•bumps or acne-like pimples
•visible blood vessels on facial skin
•watery or irritated eyes
•burning, itching or stinging of facial skin
•skin roughness and dryness
•raised red patches
•swelling (oedema)

These symptoms may also appear on the neck, chest, scalp and ears.

Research conducted by the National Rosacea Foundation found that the leading triggers for rosacea are:
•sun exposure
•hot or cold weather
•emotional stress
•wind
•alcohol
•heavy exercise
•spicy foods
•hot baths
•heated beverages
•some skin care products
•humidity
•indoor heat

While there is no cure for rosacea and each case is unique, your doctor will probably prescribe oral antibiotics and topical medications to reduce the severity of the symptoms. When the condition goes into remission, only topical treatments may be needed. In more severe cases, a vascular laser, intense pulsed light source or other medical device may be used to remove any visible blood vessels and reduce excess redness and bumpiness on the nose.LED has shown to also be very effective in the treatment of rosacea.

To help reduce the incidence of flare-ups, a gentle daily skin care routine is recommended that includes the use of mild, non-abrasive cleansers, rinsing in lukewarm water (not hot or cold), and blotting the face dry (not rubbing). Additionally, individuals with rosacea need to protect themselves from sun exposure by using sunscreens with SPF 15 or higher with broad-spectrum sun-blocks that eliminate UVA and UVB rays. Clients are also encouraged to keep a record of flare-ups to try and determine the lifestyle and environmental triggers that aggravate the condition.
