Juicing for skin health

Below you'll also find some of my favourite juicing recipes that can help to curb sweet cravings, detox your skin and give you lots of antioxidants for a youthful and glowing complexion. This juice blend with beta-carotene-rich carrots and skin-clearing apple will help you kick the snacking habit.

The Serenity “Beat the Sweets”
  • 4 carrots
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 pear

The Serenity “Ginger to taste”
  • 3 sticks celery, trimmed
  • 3 granny smith apples, cut in half, each half cut into wedges
  • 2 pears, cut in half, each half cut into wedges
  • 5cm-piece fresh ginger, peeled, sliced

This juice recipe will detox and stimulate the lymphatic system. Great for any skin type.

The Serenity” Brighten Up”
  • 4 carrots
  • Handful of spinach
  • Handful of parsley
  • 1/2 apple
The Serenity “All Clear”
  • Few slices or chunks of pineapple
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2 apple

This is for overall vibrant skin! Bromelain, the enzymes in pineapple, promote good digestion and good skin.

The Serenity “Super Eight”
  • 1 kale leaf
  • 1 spinach leaf
  • Handful of parsley
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 broccoli floret

Nutrition is of course essential to any skin care routine as it serves as the building block for any products your skin might need. This is healthy skin from the inside out.
